 Michelle Weihman, BSN, RN, is the founder of Grace Healthcare Advocates and the Dare to Care Movement. She is a nurse, empowerment coach, and bestselling author with over thirty years of experience in nursing and healthcare leadership.  

At the heart of Michelle’s work is advocacy. She supports patients and families who feel overwhelmed, unheard, or unsure of what comes next. Whether someone is facing a new diagnosis, a hospital stay, or complex medical decisions, Michelle believes no one should have to figure it out alone. 

 Her approach is shaped by years at the bedside and in leadership roles, working closely with patients, families, and care teams during moments of uncertainty, fear, and transition. She understands both how the healthcare system works and how it can feel when you are inside it as a patient or loved one.  

Through Grace Healthcare Advocates, Michelle helps patients and families feel supported, protected, and empowered so they can ask the right questions, understand their options, and make decisions with confidence and dignity. 

 Courtney Kaplan is a Healthcare Advocate and strategic partner at Grace Healthcare Advocacy, bringing over twenty years of experience supporting patients and families within complex medical systems.  

Her professional background includes pediatric hospice and healthcare liaison work, where she supported individuals and families through emotionally demanding medical experiences. Courtney is deeply skilled at helping families understand what is happening, what questions to ask, and how to advocate for care that honors their needs and values. 

Courtney’s work is also shaped by lived experience navigating critical illness and organ transplantation. This personal journey gives her a grounded understanding of the medical, emotional, and logistical challenges families face when life feels uncertain and overwhelming.  

Known for translating medical information into clear, human language, Courtney is a steady and compassionate presence who protects patients’ voices, rights, and dignity. Through Grace Healthcare Advocates, she helps ensure that no one feels alone, unheard, or unsupported during moments that matter most.
